People who believe police promises of immunity are the same ones who are stupid enough to hand in guns. Oh wait.
I know, if I were a murderer and knew the cops were either looking for me or my murder weapon, these gun buy-backs would be the perfect opportunity to unload incriminating evidence and make it permanently inadmissable in court. Given that possibility, I highly doubt there is any real immunity.
BTW, I was shooting at the NRA range one day when I saw an instructor come out of the classroom and overheard him say to someone that there was a guy in the class with a gun that had a scratched off serial #. They kicked that guy out right there and told him to never come back.
Anyway, I'm looking for just a handful of guns that would be pretty unlikely to be crime guns - WWII-era Lugers, decent 1911's. I'm not at all interested in TEC-9's, Lorcins or Raven Arms crackhead junk guns, no matter how cheap they are.
