We started with a simple recurve from Cabela's and a foam target from the local hunting shop.

I want to say we paid about $100 for the bow. There is a $100 one on here. Its a good starter to see if they will stick with it, then you can spend from there. My son was grouping them together nicely from about 5 yards out and still needing some practice from 10 yards.
