Mabye a spreadsheet of similar spec'ed Prius' would give a better real-world value to getting a "like replacement".
Glad she's ok. The damage to the rear bumper and witness statements could do a lot to proving % of responsibility for future deductables and rates.
Correct or not, once those numbers are in the big computer the rate that it spits out will be the one you'll pay.
Sadly, those standards are hidden from the public.
