To balance the matter at hand, take a drive in a good early car, pref. with mechanical fuel injection.
You might then enter the World of nimble, light, precise 911s. Before the age of power everything, plastic bumpers, and power brakes stealing the feel of braking.
Seriously, though. The early cars are really a different thing with a much more in touch feel, and no frills. It's really whatever you're in to, of course, but early cars are fun....
