I have a 83 300sd that I got very cheap do to diesel bugs in the tank from sitting too long
after cleaning out the tank and fixing the brakes
the car has been fairly trouble free over the last year
a huge number of these cars have been junked
but were well cared for up intill they got hit or a major bit failed
making pick and pull parts yards a very good deal
and they share a lot of the parts with their even more common gas versions
limiting the need to go near a dealer
