70s Steelers and the Juice
no, not OJ... steroids.
The Steelers have been dying off quite rapidly in the past few years with something like 16 or 17 former Steelers, many of them from the great 1970s teams dying pretty young, early 50s from heart conditions and things. This past week even QB Terry Bradshaw admitted that he used the steroids to "recover/heal" from injuries.
Its interesting that we havent heard much of a peep from the hated rivals of that era, the Cowboys and the Raiders in particular. Could it be since everyone was doing the juice back then, those players are just keeping their fingers crossed about their own health? Do any of you guys think less of the Steeler dynasty now that it appears to be at least in part chemically induced?
