After trying several different search term permutations and bashing my head against the wall for not subscribing to the thread when I first found it, I've decided to ask for help.

There once was a thread that showed, in detail and with pics, how someone had removed their seat covers, bent the seat springs on the stock seats to a different angle, perhaps removed some cushioning material and thereby gained a few inches without modifying the seat rails or losing the "stock" look.

I've spent the last hour reading several hundred tales of woe from tall drivers in several dozen threads and still can't find the one I'm looking for.

Anyone brighter than me, tag this thread and remember it?
