To me there is nothing, which clearly says "PORSCHE". It's a huge disappointment for me but one that I can't say I didn't see coming. It has neither distinction, charm or elegance and certainly does not really indicate "sporty" in the true sense of the word (perhaps the Dakar version will be better at that - or am I dreaming again).
If I were in the market for a fast, primarily paved / dirt road all-wheel-drive vehicle, I'd still go for the Audi All-Road or perhaps even the RSA as rob911 suggests. Or go for the Subaru WRX for all road fun, pocket the difference and buy the new 911 targa for on road fun.
I can only hope that there are enough P-enthusiasts out there to keep the brand alive until the day when Porsche decides/ sees they have a problem. The world is slooowly move back to cars of distinction as Porsche tries to look like everyone else. Seems to me there a decade and a half behind
