I actually like U2. I want to beat Bono when I see him do anything other than make music. But I like a lot of their songs and I have to admire their longevity.

Didn't much care for van hagar, but van halen is good music.
Michael and kenny who?
As far as U2, Bono can bite the big one
AFAIK because some idiot told him it was OK to tell the rest of the world what his views are of politics. He's not much different than that stupid bald-headed chick that made an a$$ of herself on SNL.
Same goes for every other musician who thinks their music is a platform to express their political views. Their business, not mine so keep it that way. Don't care what they think and don't want to hear it. Jackson Brown can ESAD because he came out at every opportunity against nuke plants (and is totally uninformed about the same subject), same goes for the anti-war hippie-cowards of the 60's.
IMO Musicians should play music and keep their mouth shut about politics and everything will be fine. If they want to express themselves they can do it in their music, and i can choose to listen or not. What's wrong with that? I don't want to pay money to go to a concert and get a left-wing liberal lecture instead.
They make music. That's all. They get this stupid idea that a life of drugs and music and little education makes them an expert on everything.
Have the dixie chicks received their MENSA memberships yet?
