In my sewer. Ugh.

I was taking my morning shower when my wife came up and in a frantic voice informed me that the drain in the laundry room (in the basement) was backing up. Same thing happened to a neighbor across the street and he had to pay $4000 to have a new sewer line run out to the street.

I called a sewer guy and he came out and cleaned out the line. Tree roots. Joy. We've been in the house five years and never had a problem. I wonder how long we have before we have to have our front yard excavated...
