I beg to differ.
$325 or so should buy you a Benelli Nova (i know, a bit over $300). Great action and dead effing reliable. Bonus is it takes 3 1/2". These guns are so far beyond what Remington and others offer it's shameful. Yes I know the soldier of fortune types give these things a bad rep. as they generally gravitate towards ***** products but this is an exception and a BIG one at that. Simply nothing better for the money.
Pay up for camo if you can swing it; gun maintenance becomes a thing of the past.
Std. 870's are hideous to look at and the action is NOT as nice as a Nova. The wingmaster (which i have in 20ga) is a sweet little gun that brings a smile to my face every time i pick it up. More form than function but a great gun just the same.
