Dead Speedometer
My speedometer isn't working, and neither are the trip or regular odometers. The MPG calculator below it works, but seems to be working in a funny way, either it pegs all the way at 60 or 0, depending on wether I'm giving it throttle or not, it never picks a value inbetween.
Could these two issues be related? Where do I start testing for the problem?
I've replaced the tiny odometer gear before in a friends 944 when it's teeth stripped off due to age, but is there another thing that could cause this?
I've already checked the connection to the transmission, since I had that out of the car for a clutch job, but it seems to check out.
