Joe, if you think Obama was banging mules and McCain was snorting coke go right ahead, it does not bother me one bit, the issue I have is Rush can call out anyone on anything but when he messes up he just resorts to Clinton and Dole jokes and pretends there is no elephant in the room.

Are you kidding me? Are you telling us you'd try to talk to a customs official if they suspected you of wrongdoing? You're right - it's not a Rep. vs. Dem. thing, but rather a Fourth and Fifth Amendment thing. You don't ever, ever, ever give law enforcement anything they could ever use against you. Don't confess to anything. I think it's kinda funny if Rush really said those things, as they are light-hearted humor, they don't answer the custom official's questions and give him nothing to use against Rush. I'd probably just say to the guy, "I have nothing to say to you. Am I free to go now?" If you get pulled over in a 65 zone and the cop asked you if you know how fast you were going, do you say 70, just to sound kind of honest? Hint: in doing so, you just confessed to a crime without even being charged with one. Don't ever give law enforcement anything, ever.
