Replacing the entire throttle body is proving to be rather expensive and I believe I will have a hard finding someone to gut theirs and sell me just the butterfly plate.

I am thinking about trying to repair this with JBweld. Should I be concerned about it breaking off and being sucked into the engine? I do not have a lot of experience with JBweld and am not sure how likely this would be to occur? I know that i could easily apply and sand it to the shape to fill the slit.
