At the end of the day it's all the fault of the consumers.
If we have a problem, it's because consumers are a bit too willing to spend beyond their means. But then, until people realize that they have seen the enemy, and it is them -- nothing is going to change. BTW, I'm not holding my breath that this realization is going to get me elected any time soon.
