Basin Complex (Los Padres National Forest): 80,186 acres at 18 percent contained. This complex is five miles southeast of Big Sur. Big Sur remains threatened and evacuations are in place. Highway 1 is closed.

Gap (Los Padres National Forest): 9,600 acres at 35 percent contained. This fire is located six miles northwest of Santa Barbara. Communities, cultural and historical resources, and power lines are threatened. Evacuations are in order.

BTU Lightning Complex (Butte Unit, Cal Fire): 30,000 acres at 55 percent contained. This complex of 14 fires is 27 miles north of Yuba City. Power lines, residences, and structures are threatened. Highway 70 is closed.
