That's funny chit right there, I don't care who you are.
One thing I've been involved in is welcoming troops home that have been deployed.
I live near Columbus/Ft. Benning, Ga. which (if you don't already know) is where every Infantryman in the ARMY goes to Basic Training. It is also the proud home of our U.S. Army Rangers. Pretty much the place is chock full of Badasses!
Anyway, my neighborhood has a few military families living in it. When someone is returning after a deployment, there are a group of us that have been decorating the entire neighborhood with signage "WELCOME HOME AMERICAN HERO" "Thanks" and such. We also place small American Flags at each mailbox and tie huge red/white/blue ribbons to them. We all pitch in and purchase gift certificates to a couple of top notch restaraunts in the area and also fill their fridge with their favorite foods and beverages.
It really makes these folks feel good and you can tell the attention is at times a little overwhelming. When these guys ship out we throw a going away bash and make sure they know their dependants can look to us for help while they are deployed.
It's the least we can do for these people and you can tell it is really appreciated by them.
