While the majority of Iranians probably believe their current govt is too controlling, the mood would change very quickly when their country is under attack. Look at how long the Iran/Iraq war lasted.
Sure, we could kick their a$$ given enough time, but they've had a lot more time to rebuild their forces since the Iran/Iraq war so I SERIOUSLY doubt it would be a cake walk.
We probably all believe that radical islamists are willing to do anything for their cause including detonating an atomic bomb, but also keep in mind that "Mutually Assured Destruction" is a very strong deterrent. In other words, "you detonate an atomic bomb and we turn the middle east into glass"
