I won't second guess any pro wrench, however that oil can only escape through the shaft seal. As one of the above posters stated these nippon denso's from this generation are kind of notorious for doing this. Just save the R12 if you can, I purchased a new 30lb cylinder for $650 dollars form NAPA a few weeks back, the price is borderline stupid at this point.
