I have a '79 Turbo and it doesn't even run right until you get it over 3500 - hold on at 4500 because you are in for the ride of your life to the RED. =:-) ZOOOM!!
I always figured these are race cars and meant to be run hard at high rpms.... besides its more fun that way.
