That's what I figured. There was 50000 miles on the odometer I doubt my hypermiling affected it that much. In all seriousness, I didn't think this was solvable, but wanted to make sure. Owner tells me when driven gingerly, he can get 18 mpg on the highway. This was mostly highway and a 4x4 Harbor Frieght trailer (would've fit in the bed!) so maybe I was doing 18 mpg. I squeezing in 5 gallons of gas, but it wasn't full when I picked it up.
