Oh, I know it's his right. I would never argue that. But, like cashflyer points out, these open bolt guns are horribly impractical. The only way to have any fun is to burn copious amounts of ammo on very large, very close targets. No such thing as "aimed fire" with such a beast. One can never become a more proficient shooter by "spraying and praying" from the hip, which these things encourage. It's what they are designed to do.

I see a lot of neophyte, casual shooters with these things. Bought to impress themselves and their shooting buddies. If these guys stay with shooting for very long at all, and decide they want to actually get good at it, the open bolt guns get abandonded. They are almost completely useless to a civilian. It doesn't take most long to figure that out.
