Here is a short block that was removed from an '84 944 with only 81k actual miles. As pictured, there is no scoring or any other markings in the cylinder walls. The crank turns over nicely without any binding. There are no cracks in the casting or pistons.
Located just South of Allentown, PA (in 18049). I could assist with delivery within a reasonable distance.
Asking $300 OBO.
Also, the balance shafts and oil pan are included.
