I had some technical plot issues at the end, and the 2nd half is flawed, but the first half of the movie is absolutely stunning - worth the price of admission.
There is a funny moment when they show the pictures of the ship's captains over the decades...and they get fatter and rounder. Kinda mirrors the obesity rates in the US. Not that they did that on purpose

The US has become fat, drunk and stupid. Slow death, disintegration of the middle class, standard of living decrease for all but the upper 1% of the population. Eventual global depression leading to revolt in a number of "civilized" countries.
Not that I'm a pessimist or have dystopian glasses on. I think it can come around, but people have to realize there is a problem. I still see too many people oblivious or saying, "it's the media's fault..."
