I think it would look better also with the 1 in the check sequence as well, I will add that to the final edit.

Right, the rotor needs to point at the notch for #1 at TDC, once again I'm looking for a balance between what is common knowledge to most and trying to stay away from writing every step of the process.

A future project is to also do a Timing Decal that will explain the rotor and notch and the timing marks.

Good catch on the 00.30 extra . was a Typo, I will edit that.

Question;

if .0030" = .0762mm could I use .07mm as a NO GO
if .0025" = .0635mm could I use .06mm as a GO

or is this allowing to much of a margin for error?

Because ultimately we need a .01mm gap which is .0039"(.004")

My gauges have the standard marked on one side and metric on the other.
