The Specialized Body Geometry saddles are pretty darn good in their price range. I've got three of them on assorted bikes. My 24 hour bikes all have Terry saddles (they make mens and womens saddles).
Fit is pretty individual. Try and see. Longer and thinner for most people usually works out better. The amount of padding will vary with how much you ride. I like a little, but not a lot of padding, even on the 24 hour bikes.
