Well I think you're on the right path... I bought and returned like 3 models before I settled on one that worked. Most will advertise 200 ft-lbs or torque but then they can't even break a lug-nut off. It's a crying damn shame that the HF model was discontinued. I've been carrying/using one in my race trailer for 5 years without fail.... The new ones they offer just can't cut it.
