I’ve lived in Monterey County for 35 years and once thought I knew the quality body and fender shops – those capable of performing Porsche (even insurance) type work. The last dozen years I have been disappointed with all that have worked on my family cars. Some have been terrible – such as bubbles appearing two years after the repair. I know new materials and air quality stuff complicates the process these days, but still….
Bottom line is I need to make a decision on who to talk to and visit before I have my car towed next week for repairs. Please, please help me if you actually know someone you can recommend.
I parked the cab on the street today because we had a huge but dead pine tree removed from the back yard. One of the gazzilion-ton trucks with the chipper backed into my daily driver, but much loved ’89 cab. The car was parked, so nobody was injured. (One positive aspect.)
On another note, just how serious is this? I’m particularly concerned about the crinkle near the top.
On a minor, but happier note. Even if you’re retired, and the staff likes you, you can pick your parking permit number.
Did I mention it was a very, very sad day?
