The funny thing is when I was done with the test drive I asked the sales guy to pop the hood so I could look at the engine. While the hood was up 2 guys in brand new Roush Mustangs were driving by very slowly. As they drove by they were honking their horn and waving. I asked the salesman if he knew those guys but he didn't.
One thing I was surprised about was how much attention the car got as I drive it. Kids were stopping in their tracks, pointing at the car and exclaiming "WOW that's a Corvette! COOOLL!" There was another teenage ~16 boy who almost fell off his bike. I was stopped wanting to turn right and we was waiting to cross but first he wanted to see the car. I gave the kid a little full throttle show through 2nd and 3rd gear up to 3000 RPM.
I would of never guessed people cared that much about the Vette. I mean it is JUST a Vette isn't it?
