I rode for La Grange for a year with a couple of those guys at Erines. Did the ride from MDR a good few times.

I started riding USCF races as a Junior at 16. was serious for about 20 years. Pretty much quit after that. Now I do about 20 miles of pizza a day.

Yep - I rode with La Grange a few times up into the Malibu hills. Sorry to say, they were slow. The Montrose boys were much faster in Griffith Park.

I rode past where Ernie's was on San Vicente Blvd. last Saturday. Now that was a pro shop. Right now the space is some typical fru-fru rich Westsider eatery. Shameful.

The whole world's come down to mass crap supplied by either Trek, Specialized or LeMond, and it's all sold at Helen's Cycles in either Santa Monica, Hollywood or The Valley. I mean, when's the last time you've seen a new Pinarello or Colnago, or even a nice Bianchi, except on TV during the T de F? Hell, I was the only one I knew of who had a Scapin. And that was a bad-assed fast ride (until I bent the frame. ).
