I too have at times have been annoyed at the sound of my exhaust. I have a modded 3.6 with B&B headers and dual in/dual out. My typical work commute when I do not travel is 104 miles round trip. I have a few combinations that I change from time to time. I got this from a fellow pelican. The loudest combination is the twin 3" tips, a little quieter is the 2.5" tips or I will cap off on side completely and run the smaller tip. A little performance loss can be felt overall but my sanity at times is worth it. Try changing the tip size, it's inexpensive and easily reversible if you don't like it.
