If it can be proved that human activity is the cause of climate change ... that would be the most significant finding ever made by mankind. Once it is proved, it is relatively easy to go to the next logical step - climate control. If we can cause the climate to cool or warm by adding certain measured amounts of carbon dioxide, etc., and change it back by altering our behavior then we can eventually design systems to control the climate precisely.
Here in Michigan for instance, where the economy has been in the tank for 6 years, we could hire a government-certified Climate Designer to boost tourism by giving us a tropical climate for a few years. The possibilities are endless.
