I believe for a 911 or 914 this type of lift should work great as there really isn't too much to service in the center of the car. Basically from the rear of the front fender to the firewall not much to work on vs. a car with a front engine/rear drive with that tranny layout,driveshaft etc. I'm thinking that by doing a little " positioning " of the car and the adjustable lift arms I'll come up with good balance on either car AND have room to do engine install on the 914. Time will tell.
