I couldn't go out a final time due to running the risk of a front blowout (Yes it was that bad) my tyre is very worn, down to the canvas infact. It's like driving on a bed of marbles with the violent vibration through the steering wheel.
I struggled with front grip and way too much understeer, as well as the most lap traffic ever encountered at a supersprint.
having said that a 1:26.2 is still a PB for me, so very happy with that! I know with some new rubber (I can't believe my tyres have done 8 superspints now) I will be able to crack into the 1:25's around Oran Park.
I had a great afternoon! I also took an excursion in the morning session to avoid a taxi coming accross onto me as I passed him just before the kink. As a result I had to outbrake myself at the kink and drifted sideways off the track at about 170km/, thankfully no damage and managed to keep two wheels on the ripple strip outa the dirt.
one again, well done tim, and yeah the 928 looks absoltely destroyed, but thank goodness the driver is ok.
