It also was pretty evident when watching the footage that it was CGI given the camera placements and movement.
But we wouldn't want the viewer to actually think and engage...
It was a very cool sequence. The level of detail was quite amazing. Evidently they simulated the correct amount of smog
. Plus you can see the neon signs animated as well.
