GM will introduce a 4.5L V8 turbodiesel in 2010 for their light trucks and Hummer.

• This engine should be able to fit in the engine bays of any GM product currently using small-block V8s—which could mean some very interesting further vehicle/model applications.
My understanding is that the 6.2, 6.5l diesels share the same mounting pattern as the SBC. There have already been some pretty wacky swaps done, from caprices to corvettes.

I have an uncle with a Buick Roadmaster wagon with a 6.2l turbodiesel truck engine. He said it was a straightforward swap as far as bolting in the engine was concerned, but a fair bit of fab work for electronics, cooling & exhaust.
