Well, That sure seemed to quite everyone down. Don't like facts much?

The UN approved "use of force" if needed to remove Saddams wmd.
The evidence for wmd was not there. There was a bunch of faked documents, and a lot of wishful thinking all wrapped up in a nice little package of paranoia and greed.

The UN resolution required Bush to return to the UN to get approval for "use of force" if needed. He never did that because he knew there was no evidence to support his claims. In fact the inspectors on the ground there said there were none.
That is why this invasion is illegal, it's simple. He never returned for approval.

The UN would never allow the invasion of a sovereign nation, that didn't attack you, based on forgeries and cooked up intelligence, courtesy of Israel.
I am sure the UN is a little more diligent in their fact checking than Fox news.
They knew that going in , that is why they invaded without getting approval.
