It is advisable to NEVER pump fuel when a tanker is making a drop at a station. It does cause all sorts of things to get suspended in the underground tanks. It is true that the pumps have filter canisters, but how good is the station about changing them, or if they even have a cartridge inside the cannister. I have seen several stations over the years, that were so cheap, they never replaced the actual filter that was in the cannister, because there was not one even in it, and people would get contaminated fuel on a regular basis. There was one particular Chevron station in Houston that was this way, till the State Attorney Generals Office got involved, as did Chevron Corp. They had the stores business license pulled, and could no longer be a distributor of Chevron Products.

It takes quite a bit of time for all of the crap to settle, after a fuel drop. Good luck with it. Tony.
