You'll find that brake pads are like motor oil- everybody has their favorite flavor.

For no dust and good performance, ceramic pads are very good too.

A friend used these pads on his 996 at a TestNTune day at Gingerman Raceway. He said they performed excellent and I was shocked. I know you said your car is just for spirited use and not full-on track duty. Still I wanted to point out that these pads are very friendly as far as dust and noise go, but also can stand up to some track abuse.

I myself use the factory Porsche Textar pads and use Performance Friction PF-97 or Porterfield R4 on the track. None of which are low dust or very quiet!
