"A majority of climatologists have concluded that human activities are responsible for most of the warming. Human activities contribute to global warming by enhancing Earth's natural greenhouse effect.
The greenhouse effect warms Earth's surface through a complex process involving sunlight, gases, and particles in the atmosphere. Gases that trap heat in the atmosphere are known as greenhouse gases."

No it's not rocket science, which is helpful because I am not a rocket scientist!
Let's stay on topic in this debate and figure out what's going on in the Arctic - the latest news and the subject of the original post, ok?
What's going on in the 08/11/2008 NASA images in the Arctic? Has the ice expanded since the original stories, some of which you cited, were published?
Your NASA link above discusses Antarctic ice and the larger issue of alleged man-made global warming. What about the Arctic ice? Certainly there are factual surveys and imagery which most likely change from time to time; what's the latest story on Arctic ice? I really don't know anything beyond the 08/11 images, FWIW.
Best,
Kurt
