The media leaves out a few key issues here, we have two jails in Denver, one is condemned and the other is full. The condemned jail houses prisoners in areas that are still livable, but its not much. The city has been trying to build a new jail for a long time now, however no one can decide where to put it. Its not surprising that they did this as we would have no space to house a large group of people should we need to.
