That 888 actually looks like a '93, not a '94. Essentially the same bike, with a couple cosmetic differences (should be a carbon front fender and gold wheels). 200 were imported in '93, and another 200 shipped over in '94. The 94s have a numbered plaque on the triple tree, also (as well as a larger diameter front axle). But in '94, Ducati also unveiled the revolutionary 916. So that made the 888 a very hard sell. 125 of the 200 bikes from '94 were shipped back to Italy, leaving only 275 bikes imported into the States over the two years.
