Before you pull the trigger, get a quote for a replacement oil pan for a countach.
They hang down kinda low and in the early 90's a replacement cost over $5000.
prolly double that now.
They sure are pretty though.
The output of the crankshaft goes into the transmission then reverses direction 180 and goes back into the engine/oil pan, where it connects to the differential which is housed inside the oil pan. Cast aluminum art, but vulnerable and expensive.
