Some people like to talk politics and religion, others like to ignore them and focus on humor and levity. I've never partcipated in anything more serious then "what song you hate" or TV show you like. Doesn't take much more then reading the headlines and skipping the ones you don't want to particpate in. You being the moderator would make that difficult and I can certainly understand.
