wow what a kick ass show. winwood sounded el perfecto. close your eyes and just think of blind faith/traffic. man he sounded and looked good for a 60 yr old codger! a super long rendition of dear mr. fantasy brought the place to a roar. couple of long songs from " nine lives" latest cd that i would buy in a heartbeat. the drummer for winwood never missed a beat and his sticks were on fire. 1.5 hr set.

thomas pettius roared thru a gazzillion songs and a 3 song encore that blew the hell out of everyone. nobody missed a lick except drummer blew a stick up and had another juan wailing in a blink of an eye. entire crowd stood for entire concert! an eclectic mix of old hippies, young rebels w/out a clue tatted from head to foot and drunk as goats, a few fatties being passed around, expensive as hell drinks($30 for 2 double rum and cokes), and i would have to say it was a complete sellout.

sounded as studio as you can get. tight tight band petty has put together. he is also quite the showman for not being a spring chicken. vocals were splendid. light show was great and alot of songs just bled into the next one with no pause putting about everyjuan in a feverish frenzy. lots of 1/2 exposed breasts and tight tight "fuch me" pants. my eyes were having a hell of a time trying to gather it all in. 2 hr 10 minute set.

well worth the time and bucks to see them together. winwood only does about 5 more dates w/petty than splits back to europa for his solo tour backing up "nine lives" cd.
