The header/muffler system is bolted up and tight, both to the heads of the engine and to the rear body.
Because it is one piece, the exhaust is somewhat heavy. After getting it into position using floor jacks, I pressed the headers into position using my arms.
I had previously put the exhaust gaskets in position by hanging them from the exhaust studs and none fell off during the process.

When those exhaust gaskets fall off or move, you have to start over (been there before).
Shift linkage is re-connected and secured with saftey wire. New rubber booty for shifter shaft is now installed.
All saftey stuffing has been removed from the fuel injection stacks.
The motor is clean and almost ready to go.
