Sorry, prolly too late (for me) to be posting this but..

My son trashed my Blazer last winter and has since taken over the replacement vehicle what with starting Tech School and finally gotten a job.. time for another in the stable.. I've been prowling the CraigsList auto postings looking for a winter beater for a while.

Anyhow, I was initially suckered into responding to an ad that came back as "I'm Lt. blah blah stationed in the UK." OK, instant scam alert! It was really quite funny when you looked at it. NOW It seem like there must be at least of 50+ of these things posted every day (along with the "drive a car for free" and "gov. repo'd" ads). For example they usually lists a 2000+ vehicle for ~$2500 and often they have some random garbage attached to the end. Are there really that many people in the world that don't have a life? Is this the same everywhere? Isn't there a way that CL could strip all that up front?

I'm thinking of George's old HDDTTWA articles (might be a local reference)?
