I don't think Clinton could help Obama in the fundraising department much more if she wanted to. Of course, all the major donors to both maxed out their fed. contributions long ago. So all they can do is help bundle money they can raise from their rolodexes. But Clinton's early money was mostly in the in form of maximum contributions already. Those folks can't do anymore, even if they want to.

Obama, OTOH, had real grassroots support and a lot of his early money was in small increments. Everyone in that business will tell you those people are far more valuable than the so-called fat cats because they can be dunned again and again through the campaign. Clinton burned through her donor list real fast. Obama can keep mining his for more money.
