Finally got the car on the road after 8 months of work. I was just leaving the tire store this Saturday and another 911 car (a sweet 87 to 89 Turbo) going the other direction was flashing the headlights at me. I thought something was wrong with my car at first, then I realized he was flashing at the car and me!!!!! Well, needless to say I was feeling pretty good about myself and all the hard work that I put into my car, so I waved back and smiled. Later on when I got home I told my wife about the Porsche encounter on Hwy 101 and she just didn't seem as excited about it as I did, but that's alright, I got my first wave!!! I still have many projects planned for my car (75 911s) and I'm sure I'll never forget that Saturday the 29th of July, 2001 I officially became a Porsche nut. Just thought I'd share that with everyone.
