This was a spectacular day for wildlife. I saw moose, caribou, dall sheep, ptarmigan, hares, fox and a coyote. The fall colors were amazing. Since I'm in terrible physical condition right now, I had the driver leave me at the top of Polychrome looking - about 48 miles from the park entrance. This 48 plus the mileage to my hotel totalled about 63 miles. Good 'nuff for my pitiful level of condition.
